Film By the Sea is the longest-running of all the Film By festivals. 

2023 sees the 13th year of Film By The Sea to bring a bigger, better and even more supportive reach for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 to engage in this program. This year's festival was held at Event Cinemas Miranda on 23 October 2023.

  • Red carpet 6 pm
  • Premiere screening from 7 pm.

All films and film submissions due by September and must be completed via the Film By the Sea 2023 submission form.

Schools are notified by email of the results of their application. If successful, schools can notify parents and the school community with ticketing information.

Kindergarten to Year 12
Film By provides teachers and students with filmmaking skills and expertise to tell their own stories. The program includes festivals, workshops and professional learning opportunities in film for teachers and students from all schools in NSW.
