It is with great excitement that we invite students and teachers with some Auslan experience to participate in the Combined Schools Signing Choir.

Open to public school students in Year 4 to Year 12, students will learn and perform 2 songs at the prestigious Primary Proms - Brindabella Concert to be held at the Sydney Town Hall on Monday 19 September (Term 3 Week 10).

Students may apply as a school group or individually.  Duty of care will be provided by Department of Education staff for students not attending with their teacher. 

Students are not required to audition and all students who apply will be accepted into the choir. 

Important dates


Interested students should complete the Combined Schools Signing Choir application form by Friday 19 August 2022.

Workshop day

9:30 am to 1:00 pm - Sunday 11 September (Term 3 Week 8)
The Arts Unit - Corner Toothill Street and The Boulevarde, Lewisham NSW 2049

Students from outside metropolitan Sydney may choose to attend this workshop virtually (via Zoom). A Zoom link will be sent to these students in the lead-up to the workshop day.

Performance day - Monday 19 September 2022 (Term 3 Week 10)

  • Performance day rehearsal: Monday 19 September - 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
    Salvation Army Congress Hall, 140 Elizabeth Street, Sydney
  • Performance day sound check: Monday 19 September - 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
    Sydney Town Hall, 483 George Street, Sydney 
  • Performance: Monday 19 September 2022 - Primary Proms - Brindabella concert 7:00 pm
    Sydney Town Hall, 483 George Street, Sydney
