Hi Res
Hi Res is an artist in residence program for Year 11 and 12 visual arts students of all abilities focusing on strengthening art-making and art criticism skills and knowledge. This program aims to engage and connect students to the artworld, providing the opportunity to work directly and meaningfully with a practicing artist, subsequently bringing their visual arts skills and knowledge into high resolution.
Families and teachers are encouraged to attend a showcase of student artwork following the workshop.
2023 program
Artist is residence: Janine Debenham
Expressive form: printmaking
Artist in residence, Janine Debenham, will lead students through a two-day printmaking workshop responding to the immediate landscape and a Vanitas still life in the artmaking space through a range of printmaking approaches. Working closely with the artist in residence, students will acquire knowledge and understanding of her methods, materials, concepts and intentions in relationship to her past and present bodies of work.

Registrations for the 2023 program have closed.
Cost
The workshop cost of $50 per student will be collected from schools by The Arts Unit.
Schools will be responsible for collecting participation fees from their students.
2022 Hi Res - Timm O’Regan
Artist in residence Timm O’Regan is a highly experienced ceramic artist who has developed a creative practice that pushes boundaries in construction and surface techniques to achieve visually dynamic and quirky contemporary cultural artefacts. In the 2022 Hi Res program, O’Regan lead students through art making processes, responding to natural and built environments to create individual and collaborative pieces.
