The Aboriginal Dance Workshops program is an opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from NSW public schools in Years 5 to 12 to participate in contemporary Aboriginal dance workshops.
The 2-day workshop will be led by Aboriginal dance industry professionals and will focus on the 2023 NAIDOC theme.
Workshop content will engage students in learning about their rich culture and history through movement and Aboriginal pedagogies that will enhance student’s form of expression through dance.
Schools may nominate a maximum of 8 students.
2023 dates
Workshops will be held in Terms 2 and 3 at Sydney Dance Company.
Information will be available for schools in early Term 2.
