New England Dance Workshop and Ensembles
.The New England Dance Workshop and Ensembles program is a 4-day non-residential workshop program for Year 6 to Year 12 NSW public school students to showcase excellence and artistry in dance. It provides an opportunity for regional and rural students to collaborate, connect and participate in a variety of dance workshops led by professional dancers, choreographers and teachers.
The workshops will provide a challenging and stimulating dance education program covering a variety of dance styles enabling students to develop their dance technique, creativity and performance quality in a fun and engaging environment.
All of the sessions are tailored to meet the learning needs of students from diverse backgrounds, including those with different skill levels and prior dance experience. Students will be encouraged to work within their own capabilities and to experience dance in a positive and inclusive environment.
From the workshop, 3 ensembles will be created:
- New England Senior Dance Ensemble

These ensembles will also have the opportunity to perform in local and regional events and have the opportunity to audition for state events.
