Greater Western Sydney Senior Dance Ensemble
The Greater Western Sydney Senior Dance Ensemble is for talented dancers in Years 7 to 12 from NSW public schools across Greater Western Sydney to develop their skills above and beyond their local school level.
Students are provided with the opportunity to perform in an ensemble at a potential regional and state level. The Ensemble is also aimed at catering for students who have limited access to dance ensembles at their school.
Students in the ensemble work with specialist choreographers and other like-minded students to rehearse and perform dance works for Synergy Dance Festival held at Penrith Panthers Rugby League Club. The ensemble will also audition to perform at the State Dance Festival and Schools Spectacular.

Ensemble Information
Rehearsals
In 2023, the GWS Senior Dance Ensemble will have 4 full day rehearsals leading up to the Synergy Dance Festival in Weeks 7 and 8. (Performance dates TBC)
- Thursday 18 May 2023 (Term 2 Week 4) – 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
Netball Central, Sydney Olympic Park - Saturday 20 May 2023 (Term 2 Week 4) – 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
The Arts Unit, Lewisham - Sunday 21 May 2023 (Term 2 Week 4) – 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
The Arts Unit, Lewisham - Thursday 1 June 2023 (Term 2 Week 6) – 9:30 am - 2:30 pm

Cost
- $200 per student
- Payment will be made to the student's school and direct debited by The Arts Unit.
- Payment will not be required until acceptance into the program.
