KROP will be staged on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 August 2024 (Term 3 Week 3) at the Griffith Regional Theatre.

• Auditions: Term 2 Week 5
• Full dress rehearsal: Thursday 8 August (Term 3 Week 3)
• Matinee: Friday 9 August (Term 3 Week 3)
• Evening performances: Thursday 8 and Friday 9 August (Term 3 Week 3)

Performance guidelines

• KROP is designed to cater for all styles of performances from a variety of art forms including Dance, Drama and Music.
• Group size must be between 6 and 30 students. 
• Maximum time limit is 5 minutes and will be strictly adhered to.
• Music, lyrics, costumes and choreography must be age-appropriate and suitable for a community audience. Costumes, movement or music that are suggestive or use simulated violence will not be selected.
• Props and staging must be quickly and easily set and removed. All props are the responsibility of school groups and must be fireproofed to comply with theatre requirements.
• Stage dimensions of Griffith Regional Theatre stage are 12 metres across (wing to wing) and 9 metres deep (front to back). For all performances, students will generally enter Stage Left and MUST exit Stage Right. (Left and right are as seen by the performer, facing the audience). The curtain will not be closed between items.
• Music must be of the highest quality and submitted via google drive. Editing should also be high-quality. Details of submission will be available in the acceptance. 

Supervision of students must be always under their teacher’s direct supervision under NSW Department of Education policy. Normal excursion duty of care applies.

Cost

Participation in KROP is free. Schools are responsible for the supply of relief, travel, meals and accommodation if required.
