NSW Public Schools Drama Workshops

Years 3 to 12

The Arts Unit offers a range of drama workshops that extend skills and knowledge. Workshops are led by industry experts as well as specialist drama teachers. 

These workshops aim to develop student's technical and artistic talents and provide opportunities to develop high-level skills in this art form. Students study a variety of drama styles, guided by professional tutors and specialist teachers.

Programs

Drama Skills Development Workshops

Drama
Years 3 to 12
Students participate in a full day workshop led by specialist tutors from the performing arts industry to develop their drama skills.

Primary Drama Workshops with ATYP

Drama
Years 3 to 6
A series of workshops in collaboration with renowned youth company, the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) including a series of diverse and exciting activities.

Multicultural Playwright Program

Drama
Years 7 to 12
This program supports students from refugee backgrounds and students who have English as an additional language or dialect (EAL/D). Led by industry professionals, students share their stories in a forum that develops both literacy and drama skills.

Aboriginal Drama Workshop

Drama
Years 7 to 11 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
Delivered in collaboration with Indigenous industry professionals, students develop skills using traditional storytelling techniques and perform stories based on their cultural heritage.
