HOLLY FAULDS: Hi, everyone. My name is Holly Faulds, and I'm the new Youth Program's Russell Page Graduate for 2024. I'm a Wiradjuri/Dharawal woman raised in Dubbo, and today I'm going to be teaching you the audition choreography for the NSW Public School's Aboriginal Dance Company. Before we get started, I'd like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land we're filming on today, the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, and pay my respects to Elders past and present and extend that respect to the land and communities you call home. So with that, let's get started!

Hands behind our back, elbows bent. Bend your knees. We start right leg, 3 walks forward. We go 1, 2, 3, legs together, 4. Jump out. 1, 2, this is to my left with my right shoulder forward, 3, come up, 4. Make sure your chest is sticking out here and you can contract in 5, 6, 7, 8. Make sure you really twist there, then you turn to back. 1, drop, 2, look, 3, 4, sweep in, 5, 6, 7, 8.

Up to tempo, we go, 5, 6, 7 8. 1, 2, 3, 4. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.

Once you've finished learning the choreography, I'd like you to create 4 lots of 8 of your own that best showcases you. Try and create it in the style of the choreography I've just taught you. You can add it to the start, the end, or do half at the beginning and half at the end. You also get to choose your own music to perform this tune, however making sure it's in the same speed as the fast tempo. Thank you so much for auditioning, we can't wait to watch your videos.
