Film By the City
Film By the City is a new festival for public school students. The inaugural festival was held at Event Cinemas in George Street on 25 October 2022, with 2021 being a successful online festival.
2023 saw the amalgamation of Film By the City and Film By Kidz at the Ritz to bring a bigger, better and even more supportive reach for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 to engage in this program.
2023 festival details
Monday 23 October at Event Cinemas George Street
- Matinee 11 am
- Red carpet 6 pm
- Premiere screening from 7 pm
All films and film submissions due by 1 September and must be completed via the Film by the City 2023 submission form.
Schools are notified by email of the results of their application by 8 September 2023. If successful, schools can notify parents and the school community with ticketing information.
